MOUNT AVOCA ESTATE, Jack Barry Sparkling Shiraz, NV

Made only every few years.

A premium Australian Sparkling Shiraz from certified-organic Mount Avoca in Victoria’s Pyrenees. Made using the traditional method, aged slowly and released only every few years.

Deep blackberry, blood plum and cassis meet chocolate, mint and spice, finished with a fine, creamy mousse. Rich enough to feel celebratory, fresh enough to keep pouring.

Drink this when

The celebration bottle should be red, unexpected and very Australian.

Christmas lunch. Birthdays. Dinner with people you actually like. Or any night that could use bubbles. Best served chilled.

Worth opening

Sparkling Shiraz is a distinctly Australian wine style, and Mount Avoca gives it the full treatment.

Made using the traditional method and released only when the wine is ready, Jack Barry has earned Best Sparkling trophies at the Sydney International Wine Competition and Western Victorian Wine Challenge, alongside multiple Winestate medals and 92 points from James Halliday.

This isn't an everyday release and that's exactly the point.

Pair it with

Christmas ham · Duck · Dark chocolate + berries
It also works brilliantly with rich, salty food and anything involving a long table.
