The Curated Six brings together six Australian wines from independent producers we think are worth knowing; three whites, three reds and plenty to discover in between.

From bright Bianco and Chardonnay to aromatic Riesling, Pinot Noir, Nebbiolo and a savoury Sangiovese/Syrah blend, it's a mixed case made for dinner tables, weekends away and people who don't want to choose a side.

Chill the whites. Line up the reds. See what gets opened first.

The Wines

Minimum Del Popolo Bianco starts things bright and easygoing — the kind of white that's always useful to have cold and ready.

Mount Avoca Chardonnay brings generosity and texture from Victoria's Pyrenees, made by one of Australia's pioneering organic wineries.

Eden Hall Opulence Riesling takes Riesling somewhere richer. Made in the Eden Valley from fruit touched by botrytis, it's aromatic, luscious and a little unexpected.

Then onto the reds.

Side Wines Pinot Noir is lighter on its feet and made for sharing — an easy red to put in the middle of the table and let everyone help themselves.

GKLR Nebbiolo brings fragrance and savoury character, offering something a little different from the usual bigger Australian reds.

And Minimum Sangiovese / Syrah rounds out the six — bright, savoury and made for another glass.
